Everyone writes about Kabukicho at 1 a.m. Nobody writes about it at breakfast. Let's fix that.
The shop, in one paragraph
新宿人妻城, Shinjuku Hitozumajo, "Shinjuku Married-Woman Castle," is the Shinjuku branch of the Hitozumajo group, which runs sister shops in Ikebukuro, Shibuya, Gotanda, Uguisudani, Machida and Hachioji. It belongs to the larger More Group, whose points system (モアポ, "MoaPo") comes up again below. Posted hours are 10:00 to 6:00 the next morning. Reception runs 9:30 to 4:00. The phone is 03-6233-8178. The morning I checked, the official site said 本日37名出勤: thirty-seven women on shift. That's a big roster for a married-woman shop, and it's why a morning booking isn't a scraps-only affair.
The first thing to understand: meeting her is cheaper than having her come to you
Most first-timers think of delivery health (deriheru) as one product: you're in a room, she knocks. Shinjuku Hitozumajo sells two, with two price lists:
| Course | 待ち合わせ (meet-up) | デリバリー (delivery to your room) |
|---|---|---|
| 60 min | ¥17,000 | ¥19,000 |
| 80 min | ¥19,000 | ¥21,000 |
| 100 min | ¥21,000 | ¥24,000 |
| 120 min | ¥26,000 | ¥29,000 |
| 150 min | ¥32,000 | ¥35,000 |
| 180 min | ¥42,000 | ¥45,000 |
Meet-up (machiawase) means you meet her at a set spot on the street and walk into a hotel together. Or, on this shop's list, you check into a Kabukicho-area hotel first and she comes to you there. Delivery means she comes to wherever you are: your business hotel, anywhere across the ward. The price gap runs from ¥2,000 on the short courses to ¥3,000 at 100 minutes and up.
The transport fees make the gap bigger. Meet-up transport is ¥1,000 for a long list of Kabukicho landmarks: the 7-Eleven in front of the Toho Building, the FamilyMart by the Kabukicho police box, Seibu-Shinjuku Station's north exit, Higashi-Shinjuku Station, Shin-Okubo Station, Okubo Park, and "歌舞伎町近辺ホテル先入り", checking into a hotel near Kabukicho first. Delivery transport is ¥1,000 around Kabukicho, ¥2,000 for the rest of Shinjuku, Shibuya and Nakano wards, and it climbs from there to ¥4,000 for the far-side wards.
So the cheapest version of this shop is simple: be in Kabukicho, and meet her. A tourist sitting in a Nishi-Shinjuku business hotel pays delivery prices plus ¥2,000 transport. Walk fifteen minutes east and the same eighty minutes costs ¥3,000 less before any discount.
Also note the fine print on the 60-minute course: エリア限定 (only in certain areas) and 女性によってご案内できない場合がございます (not every woman does it). Treat 60 as "ask," not as a given.
Then the morning rate
Here's the discount that got me out of bed. The shop runs a 朝割 (morning discount), 10:00 to 13:00 only:
| Morning course | Price |
|---|---|
| 70 min | ¥17,000 |
| 90 min | ¥19,000 |
| 110 min | ¥21,000 |
Put that next to the meet-up list and you'll see what it does. It doesn't cut the price. It adds ten minutes. ¥19,000 gets you 90 minutes instead of 80. ¥21,000 gets you 110 instead of 100. ¥17,000 gets you 70, on a course without the 60-minute course's "area only, not every woman" caveats.
The conditions: meet-up transport ¥1,000 area only, a +¥2,000 surcharge if you're requesting a woman you've seen before (本指名, return nomination), no stacking with anything except MoaPo points, and it's self-declared. You have to say it when you call. Nobody applies it for you.
The decision I actually had to make
As a first-timer I had a second option on the table, the ご新規様限定割引き, the new-customer discount: ¥2,000 off regular courses from 80 minutes up. On the meet-up board that's 80 minutes for ¥17,000, 100 for ¥19,000, 120 for ¥24,000. You say 「新規割り」 when you book. It can't be combined with other discounts either.
So at the same ¥17,000 I could have:
- 80 minutes on the new-customer rate, any time of day, or
- 70 minutes on the morning rate, 10:00 to 13:00.
At ¥19,000:
- 100 minutes on the new-customer rate, or
- 90 minutes on the morning rate.
On paper the new-customer discount wins by ten minutes at every price. So why did I go in the morning? Two reasons, and both are about the next visit, not this one.
First, the new-customer discount is a one-shot. The morning rate isn't. If the first visit goes well, the second visit is where you'll feel the price, and the morning rate is still there. (With the ¥2,000 return-nomination surcharge, yes, but it's there.) I wanted to test the version I could actually repeat.
Second, the new-customer page comes with a points pitch: 1,000 pt for registering as a member, 2,000 pt for booking online, up to 2,000 pt for posting a review, pitched as "最大7,000円分お得," up to ¥7,000 in value. The morning rate says MoaPo can still be used alongside it, but that's about spending points, and I didn't have any. If you're the collecting type, the new-customer route plus the points is the stronger opening move. I'm not, and I'd rather know what a normal weekday costs.
Honest verdict: if this is your only visit, take the new-customer discount. If you think you'll come back, start with the morning rate so your first impression is the price you'll keep paying.
The call, the corner, the walk
I called a little after 10:30. Here's what the call covered: that I was new, that I wanted the morning rate, 90 minutes, meet-up, that I'd pick by photo (写真指名, ¥1,000, the fee for choosing a woman you haven't met yet), and which meeting spot. They gave me a time and asked for a name to use. I said the discount name back to them, since it's self-declared, and I'd recommend you do too.
I'm not naming the woman. I'm not going to pin a review on one profile from one morning, and a morning roster changes by the hour anyway. What I'll describe is the format, because the format is what's different here.
A meet-up is a small piece of theater. You stand at a convenience store in Kabukicho in daylight trying to look like a man waiting for a colleague. Then someone who looks like she's on her way to a lunch reservation walks up, says your booking name, and you're two people walking to a hotel. No knock on a door, no hallway wait. Compared with delivery it felt more like a date and less like room service. For a married-woman shop, where the whole pitch is ordinary-looking women, that fits. At 10:45 in the morning nobody gives you a second look. Kabukicho has seen everything, and at that hour it's too busy restocking to care.
One practical note: the hotel room is on you. The course price covers her time and the dispatch, "サービス料+派遣料," as the price page puts it. The room is a separate bill at the front desk. Check the hotel's posted rest (short-stay) rates before you walk in.
Ninety minutes was right. The first ten on a meet-up go to the walk and the check-in, and the extra ten from the morning rate covered them. That's the best case for the morning discount: it pays for the walk.
The bill
| Line | Cost |
|---|---|
| Morning rate, 90 min (meet-up) | ¥19,000 |
| Photo nomination | ¥1,000 |
| Meet-up transport (Kabukicho) | ¥1,000 |
| Paid to the shop | ¥21,000 |
| Hotel room | separate, paid to the hotel |
For comparison, the same 90-ish minutes by delivery to a room elsewhere in Shinjuku Ward would start from the 100-minute delivery price of ¥24,000, plus ¥1,000 nomination, plus ¥2,000 transport: ¥27,000. The meet-up and the morning together saved me about ¥6,000 on the shop's side.
Extensions are ¥10,000 per 30 minutes, so pick the right length at the start. Extending is the most expensive way to buy time here.
Paying by card
Cash is the default, but the shop has a card option, and you run it yourself. Book first. Reception gives you the amount and an authentication key. You fill in a form on the official site using the same phone number you booked with, a confirmation email arrives, and you call the number in that email to finish. The site warns iPhone users that iCloud Private Relay can break the payment screen, so turn it off before you start. Do all of this before you're standing at the meeting spot.
Three things I'd tell the next first-timer
- Decide meet-up vs. delivery before you decide anything else. It's the biggest price lever on the page, worth ¥2,000–¥3,000 on the course plus the transport difference.
- Say your discount out loud. The morning rate and the new-customer discount are both self-declared, and neither stacks with other discounts.
- The morning window is 10:00 to 13:00. I booked well inside it. If you're near the edge, ask on the phone whether your start time qualifies. Don't assume.
