A Month Before the Asian Games, Nagoya Sent 110 People Into Its Nightlife District to Move Nine Touts Along
Aichi prefectural police and Nagoya city officials ran what they called the largest sweep yet of the Sakae nightlife district on the night of August 25, 2026, issuing recurrence-prevention orders to nine people accused of loitering to solicit customers and clearing 40 illegal sidewalk signs. The Asian Games open in the city on September 19, and police logged 263 overcharging complaints last year.
