Three Women, Ten Months, ¥3 Million in a Peak Month: Ehime Police Arrest Two Over Unlicensed Cabaret Referrals
Matsuyama-Higashi police arrested two men in their twenties on August 27, 2026, accusing them of steering three women into a cabaret club in Matsuyama's entertainment district over ten months without the national licence required to place workers for a fee. Referral fees reached about ¥3 million in the biggest month, and the case grew out of a scouting arrest three weeks earlier.
