Field Diary Ikebukuro Delivery Health Ratziel

Ratziel, Ikebukuro: Three Menus, One Clock, and a Coupon Priced Exactly at the Tier Gap

Ratziel is a twenty-year-old M-seikan house working the north and west exits of Ikebukuro, and its price board is not one ladder but three running in parallel — Queen, half-boiled chijo, and full chijo — separated by flat gaps that do not move with the clock. That means the shop is pricing acts, not minutes. Then the review coupon lands at three thousand yen, which is exactly the gap between the cheapest tier and the most expensive one at five of the seven lengths, and the middle tier becomes something almost nobody should buy. A field report on a board built entirely out of thousand-yen bricks.

Ratziel, Ikebukuro: Three Menus, One Clock, and a Coupon Priced Exactly at the Tier Gap
Elon
ElonMost Tokyo price boards are one ladder with discounts bolted to the side. Ratziel publishes three ladders at once — three named menus, seven lengths each, twenty-one prices sitting in a single grid — and the first thing I did was subtract one column from the next. The answer came back ¥1,000. ¥1,000. ¥1,000. ¥1,000. ¥1,000. ¥1,000. ¥1,000. Seven lengths, same gap, every time. A price difference that refuses to scale with time is not a price difference about time. It's a shop telling you, in arithmetic, that what you are buying here is not the hour. Then I found the coupon, and the coupon is ¥3,000, and ¥3,000 is exactly the distance from the bottom menu to the top menu at five of the seven lengths. At that point I stopped taking notes and started building a spreadsheet.

The shop, plainly

変態clubラツイエル — Hentai Club Ratziel, and the shop romanizes itself both "Ratziel" and "ラツィエル" depending on which banner you're reading — is a deriheru filed on CityHeaven under the M性感 heading, in the 池袋北口・西口 block of Toshima ward. Phone is 03-5928-1980, and the page asks you to open with "Heaven mita" — I saw you on Heaven — which is the standard password that tells the desk which listing sent you.

Hours are 12:00 to last, with no closing day. Official site is ratziel.jp. The catch copy on the top page reads 痴女・変態・淫乱なセレブオンナと本気のプレイが堪能できるアブノーマル倶楽部 — an abnormal club where you get serious play with forward, perverse, wanton "celebrity" women — and the CityHeaven header puts it more bluntly: 変態紳士の妄想を現実に, turn the perverted gentleman's daydream into a real afternoon.

And then there's the number on the campaign banner: 20周年. Twenty years. In a genre where the average Tokyo shopfront turns over in something closer to three, a house that has been running the same concept in the same two station exits for two decades is worth a second look before you look at anything else.

Now the detail that made me reread the page twice. The dispatch area is:

東京都池袋西口・北口(豊島区)

That's it. The west exit and the north exit of Ikebukuro station. Not the 23 wards. Not Toshima plus neighbours. Two exits of one station. I have taken apart dozens of these boards and the transport-fee table is usually the longest thing on the page — six taxi bands, a kilometre cut-off, an argument about which side of the Kan-7 you sleep on. Ratziel publishes no 交通費 table at all, because there is almost no geography left to charge for. The delivery radius is a fifteen-minute walk.

That is a deriheru with the footprint of a storefront, and it changes what the business actually is. There is no "which ward are you in" gate here, which is the single most common way these shops quietly show different customers different menus. Everyone who can book gets the same board. Whether a hotel inside that zone carries any fee at all is the one thing the page doesn't say either way — so ask when you call, and don't assume free just because there's no table.

What M-seikan is, and why this board is shaped like this

If you're reading this in English, this is the part you need before the numbers make sense.

M性感 — "M-seikan," where the M is masochist — is a genre built on inversion. In most of the industry the customer is the active party. Here he is not. The woman runs the session, the client receives it, and the standard vocabulary of the service is 手コキ (hand service), 前立腺 (prostate play), 電マ (the wand), ペニバン (strap-on), plus the psychological furniture — commands, humiliation, restraint.

Two archetypes carry the genre, and Ratziel has built its entire price board on the difference between them:

痴女 (chijo) is a sexually forward woman — predatory, enthusiastic, hands-on. She undresses. The register is appetite.

女王様 (jo-ō-sama), the Queen, is a dominatrix. She does not necessarily undress, does not necessarily kiss you, and the register is authority rather than appetite.

Hold onto that, because here's the thing that surprised me: at Ratziel, the Queen is the cheapest tier on the board. In most Western framing that's backwards — specialist femdom is the premium product, the thing with the waiting list and the surcharge. Here the domination menu is the entry price and the appetite menu costs the most.

Once you see why, the whole grid unlocks. Ratziel isn't pricing intensity of scene. It's pricing breadth of physical contact. The Queen course, per the shop's own description, does not include the woman being fully nude, and does not include fellatio, kissing, or mouth service — while including humiliation, commands, rotor, hand service, prostate play, strap-on, bondage, whips, candles, and service performed on the client. It is, in equipment terms, the richest course in the house. It's just the one with the least skin in it.

So the axis running left to right across this board is not how hard but how much of her. That's an unusual thing for a shop to be explicit about, and it is the reason the tier gaps behave the way they do.

The three ladders

Here is the published grid, all three courses, all seven lengths, in yen as printed:

Length 変態女王様 (Queen) 半熟痴女 (half-boiled) 濃厚変態痴女 (full chijo)
60 min ¥18,000 ¥19,000 ¥21,000
70 min ¥21,000 ¥22,000 ¥24,000
80 min ¥24,000 ¥25,000 ¥28,000
90 min ¥28,000 ¥29,000 ¥31,000
100 min ¥31,000 ¥32,000 ¥34,000
110 min ¥34,000 ¥35,000 ¥37,000
120 min ¥37,000 ¥38,000 ¥41,000

Twenty-one numbers. Every single one is a whole multiple of ¥1,000. No 800s, no 500s, no consumption-tax artefacts hanging off the end. Somebody sat down with a grid and laid bricks.

What separates them, in the shop's own words:

濃厚変態痴女 — the full chijo. Woman fully nude. Fellatio, kissing, hand service, full-body licking, prostate play, plus service performed on the client. Saliva and golden water feature.

半熟痴女 — literally "half-boiled," the soft-boiled-egg chijo, which is a genuinely funny name for a pricing tier. Woman fully nude. Fellatio is excluded by default and offered instead as a +¥1,000 option. Rotor, kissing, hand service, licking.

変態女王様 — the Queen, as described above. No full nudity, no fellatio, no kissing or mouth service; everything else, plus the hardware.

(Those are the published course descriptions. The specific play content of any session is always the woman's call, so treat the list as the shop's envelope rather than a guarantee, and confirm at booking.)

The gap that doesn't move

Now subtract the columns.

Length 半熟 − 女王様 濃厚 − 半熟 濃厚 − 女王様
60 min ¥1,000 ¥2,000 ¥3,000
70 min ¥1,000 ¥2,000 ¥3,000
80 min ¥1,000 ¥3,000 ¥4,000
90 min ¥1,000 ¥2,000 ¥3,000
100 min ¥1,000 ¥2,000 ¥3,000
110 min ¥1,000 ¥2,000 ¥3,000
120 min ¥1,000 ¥3,000 ¥4,000

The Queen-to-half-boiled step is ¥1,000 at all seven lengths, dead flat. The half-boiled-to-full step is ¥2,000 at five lengths and ¥3,000 at the two that kink.

A flat gap is the whole tell. If the tiers differed in how much work the hour is, the gap would widen with the hour — two hours of the expensive thing would cost more extra than one hour of it does. It doesn't. The upgrade costs the same whether you buy sixty minutes or a hundred and twenty, which means the shop has priced it as a one-time unlock, not a running rate. You are buying a key, not a meter.

And look at what that key costs. The step from Queen to half-boiled is ¥1,000 — and the thing you get for it is the woman being nude, plus kissing. The step from half-boiled to full chijo is ¥2,000 — and the fellatio that most obviously separates them is separately purchasable on the half-boiled course for ¥1,000.

So the implied price list, read straight off the arithmetic:

  • nudity + kissing + licking: ¥1,000
  • fellatio, bought as an option on the middle tier: ¥1,000
  • fellatio, bought as a tier upgrade: ¥2,000

That last pair is the first real crack in the board. Buy the half-boiled at 60 minutes and add the oral option and you're at ¥20,000 — one thousand yen under the full chijo at ¥21,000, which also hands you the golden water, the full-body work, the prostate play and the client-service set. The middle tier plus its own headline option is worse value than simply buying the tier above it. ¥1,000 for all of that is not a close call.

Which is a problem for the middle tier, and the coupon is about to make it a fatal one.

Elon
ElonI want to be straight about what I think the middle tier is for, because "dominated option" sounds like an accusation and I don't think it is one. 半熟 — half-boiled — is a name about the woman, not the customer. It's the tier a newer performer works while she decides how far into the genre she wants to go, and the ¥1,000 fellatio option is the switch she gets to flip herself, per booking, rather than a thing the house has pre-sold on her behalf. Read that way it's not a pricing trick at all, it's a labour arrangement with a price tag attached to the front of it. The numbers still say what they say and I'm still going to publish them. But there's a difference between a board designed to catch you and a board that has a person in the middle of it, and this one has a person in the middle of it.

The coupon, and the number it is standing on

There is essentially one coupon, it is badged 口コミ割引 — review discount — and it is ¥3,000 off, with no expiry date printed (live from 2024/08/01, marked 無期限). It is not combinable with any other discount, gift or perk. You claim it by giving the code when you book, by phone, by the net-reservation chat, or by email.

It applies to:

  • 濃厚変態痴女, 60 minutes and up
  • 変態女王様, 70 minutes and up
  • 痴漢&痴女 and S&Mごっこ, 70 minutes and up

Read that list again. 半熟痴女 is not on it. The middle tier is the only standard course in the house that the coupon does not touch.

Now apply it and put the top tier's coupon price next to the middle tier's list price:

Length 濃厚 with coupon 半熟 list Difference
60 min ¥18,000 ¥19,000 −¥1,000
70 min ¥21,000 ¥22,000 −¥1,000
80 min ¥25,000 ¥25,000 tie
90 min ¥28,000 ¥29,000 −¥1,000
100 min ¥31,000 ¥32,000 −¥1,000
110 min ¥34,000 ¥35,000 −¥1,000
120 min ¥38,000 ¥38,000 tie

At five of seven lengths the most expensive menu, couponed, costs a thousand yen less than the middle menu. At the other two it ties. There is no length at which the middle tier is the cheaper purchase for anyone holding that code. Combine it with the option arithmetic above and the conclusion is unavoidable: if you have the review coupon, the half-boiled course is never the right answer.

And there's a prettier version of the same fact. Compare the couponed top tier to the bottom tier's list price:

  • 60 min: ¥18,000 vs ¥18,000 — identical
  • 70 min: ¥21,000 vs ¥21,000 — identical
  • 90 min: ¥28,000 vs ¥28,000 — identical
  • 100 min: ¥31,000 vs ¥31,000 — identical
  • 110 min: ¥34,000 vs ¥34,000 — identical
  • 80 min: ¥25,000 vs ¥24,000 — ¥1,000 over
  • 120 min: ¥38,000 vs ¥37,000 — ¥1,000 over

The ¥3,000 coupon is exactly the Queen-to-full-chijo gap at five of the seven lengths. Not approximately. Exactly. Which means the review discount is not really a discount at all — functionally, it is a free upgrade from the cheapest menu in the house to the most expensive one, and at 60, 70, 90, 100 and 110 minutes the money on your side of the transaction does not change by a single yen.

That is either an elegant piece of design or an accident with unusually good manners, and given that the tier gap and the coupon are both round numbers on a board made entirely of round numbers, I lean design.

One open question, and it's the one that decides whether a first-timer can use any of this. The coupon is marked 口コミ限定 and claimed with a code at booking, but the page does not spell out whether the review comes before your visit or after it. On most Heaven boards this instrument is a returning-customer device: you post, you get the code, you spend it next time. Ask on the phone. It's a ¥3,000 question and the page won't answer it for you.

The 28% badge, and the four thousand yen underneath it

The coupon page prints a worked example: 60 minutes, normally ¥25,000, yours for ¥18,000 — badged as roughly 28% off.

Check the arithmetic first, because that's the habit. ¥25,000 minus ¥18,000 is ¥7,000, and ¥7,000 over ¥25,000 is 28.0% exactly. The percentage is honest — it's cash off cash, no sleight of hand, no quiet switch to yen-per-minute. Credit where it's due; that is more than a lot of this district manages.

The interesting part is the ¥25,000. Where does it come from? The full chijo 60 is ¥21,000. Add 入会金 ¥2,000 membership and 指名料 ¥2,000 designation and you land on ¥25,000 precisely.

And here is the thing. Both of those fees are already waived — not by the coupon, but by the twenty-year campaign, for everybody:

Fee List Now
入会金 (membership) ¥2,000 ¥0
指名料, new customer ¥2,000 ¥0
指名料, member ¥1,000 ¥0
本指名料 (repeat designation) ¥2,000 ¥1,000

So the ¥25,000 baseline is a price that nobody walking in today would pay, coupon or no coupon. Against the ¥21,000 a new customer actually faces, the coupon's real work is the ¥3,000, and ¥3,000 over ¥21,000 is 14.3%.

Twenty-eight is true. Fourteen is what happens to your wallet. The gap between them is ¥4,000 of fees the campaign already forgave, counted a second time on the coupon's ledger. Nothing here is false — the shop published every input and I reconstructed the whole thing from its own numbers in about ninety seconds. But if you are standing in this district comparing badges, that's the adjustment to make before you compare.

The 事前予約割 — pre-booking discount — is the other lever, worth ¥1,000 to ¥2,000, with conditions not published. Since the coupon combines with nothing, these two are a fork, not a stack: take the ¥3,000 if you can reach it, take the pre-booking discount if you can't. That fork is also the middle tier's one redemption, and I'll come back to it.

The net-reservation pair

Two more prices sit off to the side, marked ネット予約限定 — net booking only:

  • 60 minutes, ¥20,000
  • 120 minutes, ¥40,000

Both land exactly ¥1,000 under the full chijo ladder at the same lengths (¥21,000 and ¥41,000). And both work out to ¥333.3 per minute — the same rate, to the decimal.

That's worth a beat, because the published chijo ladder doesn't hold a constant rate anywhere: it wobbles between ¥336 and ¥350 a minute as you climb it. The net-only pair doesn't wobble. Somebody picked a round rate and multiplied, or doubled the sixty and went to lunch. Either way, these two aren't rungs on the ladder — they're a separate flat-rate offer parked next to it.

Practically: ¥20,000 beats the ¥21,000 list at 60, and loses to the ¥18,000 coupon price by ¥2,000. It is the best sixty minutes of the top menu available to somebody who doesn't have the code — unless you'd take the Queen instead, in which case the Queen's ¥18,000 list beats it outright.

Extensions: the tax on changing your mind

30-minute extension, as published:

Course Extension Per minute
濃厚変態痴女 ¥13,000 ¥433
半熟痴女 ¥12,000 ¥400
変態女王様 ¥12,000 ¥400
S&Mごっこ ¥17,000 ¥567

Now price the same thirty minutes on the published ladder instead. Climb three rungs from any starting point — 60 to 90, 70 to 100, 80 to 110, 90 to 120 — and the cost is ¥9,000 or ¥10,000, on all three courses, at every position in the grid. It's the most consistent number on the whole board.

So the penalty for buying those minutes at the door instead of on the phone:

Course Booked ahead Extension Penalty

Twenty to forty-four percent, for the crime of not deciding in advance. On the Queen course it's ¥400 a minute against a base rate of ¥300 — a clean third more. On the full chijo it's ¥433 against a best base of ¥336, about 29% over.

And the S&M number is the one to stare at: ¥17,000 for thirty minutes, ¥567 a minute, against ¥414 a minute for the seventy-minute S&M course itself. Extending that particular course costs 37% more per minute than the course, which is the steepest step on the board by a distance.

Fix your length on the call. It is the cheapest decision available to you and it takes four seconds.

The specials, and the door at the end of the corridor

Three courses sit outside the main grid.

痴漢&痴女コース — 70 minutes, ¥26,000. The 痴漢 (molester) roleplay, paired with the chijo. That's ¥371 a minute, and it is ¥2,000 over the full chijo at the same length. The coupon reaches it: ¥23,000, ¥329/min.

S&Mごっこコース — 70 minutes, ¥29,000〜. Note the 〜, "from." Open-ended pricing means the number is a floor and the ceiling is a conversation. ¥414/min at the floor; couponed, ¥26,000, ¥371/min. It's ¥5,000 over the standard top tier at the same length, and it carries that ¥17,000 extension.

VIP様専用 — 360 minutes, ¥500,000.

Six hours. Half a million yen. ¥1,389 a minute, which is a little over four times the rate of anything else on the board.

Let's assemble the same six hours out of the regular menu, two ways. At the 120-minute full-chijo rate of ¥341.7/min, 360 minutes prices at about ¥123,000. Or build it the expensive way — book the 120 at ¥41,000, then run eight 30-minute extensions at ¥13,000 apiece — and you get to ¥145,000, and that's using the most punitive number in the house eight times in a row.

So the VIP course costs 3.4 to 4.1 times the most expensive way to buy the same six hours. The page prices it and does not say what's in it. Which is, I'd argue, the correct way to handle a product like this: a half-million-yen line item on a board where everything else is in the twenties isn't a time purchase at all, and pretending otherwise by itemising it would only invite exactly the arithmetic I just did. It's a different thing wearing a duration. If you're in the market, you already know to call.

Options, and a rental shelf with strange politics

Options, as published:

Option Price
AF ¥5,000
即尺 (immediate oral) ¥5,000
ごっくん (swallowing) ¥5,000
異物浣腸 (foreign-object enema) ¥5,000
聖水ペットボトル (bottled golden water) ¥1,000
カップル3P ¥10,000

Free rentals: 電マ (wand), ビッグペニパン (large strap-on), 浣腸シャワー (enema shower), 放屁, ギャラリー (gallery — being watched).

Paid rentals: トリプルバイブ ¥1,000 · 全頭マスク (full-head mask) ¥1,000 · 男性用貞操帯 (male chastity device) ¥3,000.

Two things here amuse me and one is genuinely useful.

The useful one: the option list is short and flat, which on this kind of board is a mercy. Five thousand yen is the ceiling for everything except the couple's 3P, and there is no escalating ladder of ¥1,100 micro-charges nickel-and-diming you toward a bill you didn't plan. Compared to the twenty-line option menus elsewhere in this city, Ratziel's is almost austere.

The first amusing one: golden water is included in the full chijo course, but the bottle costs ¥1,000. The service is free and the souvenir is not. I have no notes.

The second: the free/paid split on the rental shelf follows no intensity logic whatsoever. A large strap-on and a Hitachi wand — the two most consequential pieces of equipment on the shelf — are free, while a triple vibe and a fabric hood are ¥1,000 each, and the priciest rental in the building is the ¥3,000 chastity device. If there's a principle there it's probably about who wears what and what has to be cleaned or replaced rather than about what the item does. But read as a price list of desire, it's beautifully incoherent, and I'd rather a shop be incoherent in this direction than the other one.

The visit, and the five minutes they don't charge for

Ikebukuro's west side at one in the afternoon is one of the least erotic streetscapes in Tokyo, which is part of the appeal. The north exit is doing its permanent business of ramen and discount electronics and people walking too fast; the west exit has the department store and the theatre and the pedestrian volume of a small country. Nothing about the surface of this neighbourhood suggests what's operating above it. The twelve o'clock opening drops straight into that — you can be in a session before the lunch rush has fully cleared, which is a thing about this district that never stops being slightly funny to me.

I booked the way the page tells you to, said the magic words, and the desk did the thing that separates a twenty-year operation from a two-year one: it confirmed the course, the length and the total before anything else. Course name first, minutes second, yen third, then everything else. That is the correct order and it is not remotely universal.

Then the detail I'd put on the poster. Ratziel runs a five-minute pre-play counselling session — first visit only, and explicitly not counted against your play time.

In a normal deriheru that's a nicety. In an M-seikan house it's structural. This is a genre that runs on a negotiated envelope — what you want done to you, what you absolutely do not want done to you, how hard, which words, what stops it — and every minute spent establishing that is a minute not spent on the thing you came for. Most shops solve this by starting the clock and letting you burn your own money on the briefing. Ratziel eats it. Five minutes at the full-chijo rate is about ¥1,700 of shop time given away on every first booking, and given away precisely where it does the most good.

The obvious caveat: that conversation runs in Japanese. Which brings me to the honest assessment for a non-Japanese-speaking reader, and it isn't the usual one. The booking friction here is normal — a phone call, a password, a code. The session friction is not normal, because in this genre the words are load-bearing in a way they simply aren't elsewhere. A course built on commands and negotiated limits does not survive a language gap gracefully. If your Japanese doesn't cover the specific vocabulary of consent and instruction, the five free minutes are the most valuable thing this shop is giving you, and you should arrive having done your homework on how to spend them.

The rules that end the session

Short list, clearly printed, and worth reading once:

Prohibited: 本番 — full sexual intercourse — plus covert filming or audio recording, violence, threats, and stalking.

Also prohibited: changing your mind about the woman, or cancelling, after clothes have come off.

Refused entirely: anyone under 18, anyone connected to organised crime, anyone with a communicable STI, anyone heavily intoxicated.

Cancellation: once you have met — 100%.

None of that is unusual, and the 本番 line in particular is not decoration. This is a no-intercourse genre by construction, and the shop's whole product is built on the assumption that the boundary holds. Turning up intending to negotiate it is a way to pay full price for a very short afternoon.

Elon
ElonHere's what twenty years looks like on a price board, and it's not what I expected. It looks like restraint. Twenty-six published prices, all round thousands, one coupon, no starbursts, no ward-by-ward menu gating, no six-band taxi table, no loyalty points wearing a program's coat to make you feel like ¥137 is a relationship. This district is stuffed with shops running five overlapping discount channels that mostly cancel each other out, and Ratziel is out here running one, at ¥3,000, calibrated to the exact width of its own tier gap. That's not a shop that's given up on marketing. That's a shop that worked out, some years ago, that a board a customer can actually hold in his head is itself the offer. The stuff I've criticised here — the ¥25,000 phantom baseline, the middle tier nobody should buy, the extension button — takes about four minutes to route around, and the shop published every number I needed to route around it. I'll take that trade every time.

Ratziel is a twenty-year-old specialist that has spent two decades getting one narrow thing right within a fifteen-minute walk of one station, and it has the price board to match: three menus, seven lengths, one coupon, and no tricks that survive a subtraction. The argument against it is that the middle of its own board is a dead zone and that its headline percentage leans on ¥4,000 of fees it already forgave. The argument for it is everything else — and the fact that I could prove both of those claims using only numbers the shop itself published, which most of its neighbours would never let me do.

Routing, plainly:

You have the review code, and you want the full menu: 濃厚変態痴女, 60 or 70 minutes, ¥18,000 or ¥21,000. That's ¥300/min for the widest course in the house, and at both lengths it is the same money as the Queen's list price. The coupon is a free upgrade — take it.

You have the code and you want the cheapest minutes on the board: 変態女王様, 70 minutes, ¥18,000. ¥257 a minute, the best rate anywhere in this building. And note the trap it replaces: the Queen's 60-minute list price is also ¥18,000, but the coupon needs 70 minutes. Same cash, ten more minutes, one extra rung. Never book the Queen's 60 if you hold the code.

First visit, no code: the Queen at 60 for ¥18,000 (¥300/min, all fees waived by the campaign) is the value pick, and it happens to be the most equipment-heavy course in the house. If you want the nudity and the oral, it's ¥20,000 on the net-only rate rather than ¥21,000 on the phone — book online and keep the thousand.

The one case for the middle tier: if the 事前予約割 lands at its ¥2,000 top, 半熟 at 60 comes to ¥17,000 — ¥283/min, and that is the only route on the entire board where the middle menu is the cheapest thing you can buy. The conditions for which end of the ¥1,000–¥2,000 range you get aren't published. Ask before you build a plan on it.

Never: the extension button at ¥12,000–13,000 for minutes that cost ¥9,000–10,000 booked ahead; the ¥17,000 S&M extension at ¥567 a minute; and the half-boiled course plus its ¥1,000 oral option at ¥20,000, when the tier above it is ¥21,000 and brings four more things with it.

Decide your length before you dial, decide your tier before you decide your length, and find out whether that review comes before or after. Three questions, ¥3,000 to ¥6,000 riding on them, and a desk that has been answering them for twenty years.
