Otona no Waisetsu Club Ikebukuro: The Blindfold Deriheru and Six Price Lists for One Hour

A Saturday afternoon in Ikebukuro with Otona no Waisetsu Club, a deriheru where the woman walks in wearing an eye mask: the blindfold-entry concept, the regular ladder vs. five overlapping discounts, why the 'new customer' 180 minutes costs more than the regular one, the no-change free deal, and the free hotel zone.

Elon
ElonOne gimmick and a stack of coupons. The gimmick is the blindfold: she comes in wearing an eye mask and keeps it on until you say otherwise. That's a real difference from every other deriheru on the North Exit, and you should know going in whether it's for you. The coupons are where people overpay. For a first visit, the new-customer 90 minutes at ¥18,000 is the cleanest deal on the board. If you don't care who shows up, the "free" deal beats it by the minute. And skip the 180-minute "discount": it costs more than the regular 180.

What the name means, and what the shop actually sells

The shop's name is おとなのわいせつ倶楽部 池袋店. In English, that's roughly "the Grown-Up Indecency Club, Ikebukuro." It's a delivery shop (deriheru) listed under Ikebukuro North Exit / West Exit. Phone is 03-6812-1232. It runs 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m., every day, and the FAQ says the only break is New Year's.

The idea is printed on its own page, and it's simple. The woman arrives at your hotel wearing an eye mask, and you let her in. The shop says she won't take the mask off until you tell her to. The pitch is aimed at guys who are shy around women or who have things they'd never ask a partner for. Without her eyes on you, the theory goes, you loosen up. The tagline on every event banner is NO WAISETSU NO LIFE. I'm from New York. I've seen worse slogans on worse T-shirts.

Here's the part you shouldn't skip. She's an adult who took this booking, knows the concept, and knows the play list. The menu says several extras depend on the woman. A blindfold is a game, not a waiver. Talk before anything starts, and if she says stop, the game is over.

Saturday on the North Exit

Ikebukuro's North Exit on a Saturday afternoon is a crowd from Sunshine-dori, ramen lines, and side streets full of hotel signs a block off the station. That's the whole service area in one walk. Hotels around Ikebukuro Station are free. Everywhere else in Toshima ward or around Otsuka costs ¥1,000. Sugamo, Suidobashi, Nakano and Itabashi cost ¥2,000. Akabane, Uguisudani, Shinjuku, Nerima and Suginami cost ¥3,000. Homes near Ikebukuro cost ¥1,000.

Just after noon, the board showed two women on standby, aged 23 and 19, both flagged at the "free" price. The weekly shift table had ten names working that day, mostly starting between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. and running as late as 4 a.m. The listed ages go from 19 to 30, and most of the profiles call themselves students or new to the business. One woman joined on October 8.

The regular price sheet

Course List Struck through to
Blindfold-entry 60 min ¥17,000 ¥15,000
Blindfold-entry 90 min ¥22,000 ¥20,000
Blindfold-entry 120 min ¥27,000 ¥25,000
Free course 180 min (you pick the type) ¥35,000 —
30-minute extension ¥8,000 —

The system page says no joining fee, web nomination free, and repeat nomination ¥1,000. The FAQ says 90 minutes or more gets you one option free, and the three listed toys are free anyway.

The five discounts, side by side

This is the part I worked out on my phone before calling. All of these were running on October 17.

Deal What you get Conditions
New customer 60 min ¥13,000 / 90 min ¥18,000 / 120 min ¥23,000 / 180 min ¥36,000 First visit, say 新規割 on the phone, no combining
Newcomer 70 min ¥15,000 / 100 min ¥20,000 Women within 2 months of joining, repeat nomination +¥1,000
"Free" deal 70 min ¥14,000 / 100 min ¥19,000 / 130 min ¥24,000 Shop picks the woman, no change, no cancel
Early booking 90 min+ : +10 min or ¥1,000 off Book by the day before, a few women excluded, no cancelling
First-hour deal +10 min (60 min); +10 min and a small gift (90 min+) Be in the hotel within an hour of her shift starting

Per minute, the free deal wins: 130 minutes at ¥24,000 is about ¥185 a minute, and 100 minutes at ¥19,000 is ¥190. The new-customer 90 at ¥18,000 is ¥200, and the struck regular 90 at ¥20,000 is about ¥222.

Now the trap. The new-customer list says 180 minutes, ¥40,000 down to ¥36,000. But the regular sheet's only 180-minute course, the free course, is ¥35,000. The "discount" costs ¥1,000 more than the list price. Maybe the two courses differ. The page doesn't say. Either way, don't pay ¥36,000 for a deal when the regular price is ¥35,000.

There's another inconsistency. The new-customer coupon builds its "regular total" of ¥24,000 for 90 minutes as ¥22,000 plus a ¥1,000 joining fee plus a ¥1,000 nomination. The system page says there's no joining fee. And the mail-magazine banner advertises "joining fee and photo nomination free," which only means something if those fees exist. My guess is that the coupon template is out of date. Confirm the total on the phone.

The extension never pays. Sixty minutes at ¥15,000 plus a ¥8,000 extension is 90 minutes for ¥23,000. Booking 90 up front is ¥20,000, or ¥18,000 as a new customer.

What I booked

First visit, so I called, said "Heaven mita" and 新規割, and asked for 90 minutes at ¥18,000 to a hotel two minutes from the North Exit, inside the free zone. The guy on the phone repeated the price, gave me a 40-minute window, and reminded me she'd arrive with the mask already on.

That's exactly how it went. A knock, the door, and a woman in a coat and a black eye mask, one hand on the wall, laughing at herself. The first ten minutes are the whole concept. She can't see you, you have to talk her across the room, and it's more awkward and funnier than you expect. The FAQ says to book at least 90 minutes because the "real" play starts after the shower, and the pre-shower blindfold part takes time. It does. At 60 minutes you'd spend half of it on the concept.

The total was ¥18,000, with no surprise fees at the door.

Bottom line

Otona no Waisetsu Club is a mid-priced North Exit deriheru with one real hook, the blindfold entry, and it works if you like slow roleplay and want a lot of time talking. For a first visit, book the new-customer 90 minutes at ¥18,000 and pick a hotel near the station. If you're coming back and don't care who shows up, the free deal at 100 or 130 minutes is the cheapest time on the board, but remember there's no change and no cancel. Skip the extension and the 180-minute "discount." And whatever the mask hides, ask her what's fine before you start.
