Four Prices, One Room, Same Girl
Most shops in Kabukicho have a price. Shinjuku Heisei Jogakuen has a schedule.
The place is a store-based fashion health — 店舗型, genre tag ヘルス(学園系/新宿・歌舞伎町) — on the fifth floor at 歌舞伎町1-18-10 吉川ビル5F, phone 03-3200-0998, running 6:00~24:00. School-uniform concept, the usual pitch: 「制服を着たカワイイ女の子達とエッチでほろ苦い学園生活スタート♪」. Roster ages posted in the 18–21 band. Entrance free, photo viewing free, nomination ¥2,000.
None of that is the interesting part. This is:
| Course | 6:00〜9:00 | 9:00〜12:00 | 12:00〜17:00 | 17:00〜LAST |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 30分 | ¥7,000 | ¥8,000 | ¥9,000 | ¥10,000 |
| 45分 | ¥11,500 | ¥12,500 | ¥13,500 | ¥14,500 |
| 60分 | ¥15,500 | ¥16,500 | ¥17,500 | ¥18,500 |
Same fifth floor. Same roster. Same sixty minutes. ¥15,500 or ¥18,500 depending on whether you came before breakfast or after work.
The Reversal
Run it per minute. That's where a flat surcharge stops being a discount story and starts being a structural one.
At the 6:00–9:00 door: 30分 is ¥233/min. 45分 is ¥256/min. 60分 is ¥258/min.
At the 17:00–LAST door: 30分 is ¥333/min. 45分 is ¥322/min. 60分 is ¥308/min.
Read those two rows next to each other. At dawn, the thirty-minute course is the best per-minute value on the board. At night, it is the worst, and the sixty is the best.
The ranking flips. Same menu, same day, eleven hours apart.
The magnitude is worth saying out loud too, because "¥3,000 more" sounds like the same penalty everywhere and it isn't:
- 30 minutes, dawn → night: ¥233 → ¥333/min. +43%.
- 60 minutes, dawn → night: ¥258 → ¥308/min. +19%.
So the guy who walks in at 6 PM for a quick thirty is eating more than double the proportional penalty of the guy who walks in at 6 PM for the full hour. If your schedule forces you into the evening band, the table is telling you — in numbers, not in marketing — to buy long. If you can get there at dawn, it's telling you the opposite: buy short, because at ¥7,000 the thirty-minute is the cheapest minute the building sells, and stretching it costs you money per minute rather than saving it.
The Ladder Is Fixed, the Extension Button Is Not
Two more constants hiding in that grid.
Going 30分 → 45分 costs ¥4,500 — in every single band. Going 45分 → 60分 costs ¥4,000 — in every single band. The upgrade steps never move. Only the entry price moves.
Now put that against the extension rate: 延長 ¥6,000 per 15 minutes.
The same fifteen minutes. Bought in advance as part of the 60分 course: ¥4,000. Bought in the room when you don't want to leave: ¥6,000. That is a 50% premium for deciding late, and it is constant at every hour of the day.
The Coupon That Is Actually a Time Machine
Two discounts are posted. The second one is where this whole thing snaps into focus.
ご新規様限定割引, badged 11% OFF, marked 「☆オールタイム適用☆」 — all hours. First visit only, no stacking, no reservations, regular nomination not permitted (写真指名 is, at +¥2,000). The rows:
| Course | 通常 | クーポン利用時 |
|---|---|---|
| 30分 | ¥9,000 | ¥8,000 |
| 45分 | ¥14,500 | ¥11,500 |
| 60分 | ¥18,500 | ¥15,500 |
Go back to the grid at the top of this article and find those coupon prices.
¥11,500 is the 6:00–9:00 price for 45 minutes. ¥15,500 is the 6:00–9:00 price for 60 minutes. Not close to. Identical to. And ¥8,000 is exactly the 9:00–12:00 price for 30 minutes.
The new-customer coupon is not a discount off the menu. It is a one-time pass to the dawn tier, sold to people who walk in at six in the evening. The shop built its cheapest hour into the clock, then wrapped that same hour in an "11% OFF" badge and used it as the free sample.
Which reframes what you're being offered. A first-timer at 8 PM using that coupon and a regular who sets an alarm for 6 AM are paying the same ¥15,500 for the same hour. The difference is that the first-timer gets it once, and the early riser gets it every time, forever, with no coupon at all.
Also note the badge is wrong in the customer's favor, which is rare enough to flag. 11% OFF is the 30分 row (¥1,000 off ¥9,000 = 11.1%). The 45分 row is ¥3,000 off ¥14,500 — 20.7%. The headline is quoting the weakest line on its own coupon. If you're using this thing, use it on the forty-five.
The One Nobody Ranks Correctly
The other coupon: 新入生激安割引, 18% OFF, 60分総額 ¥16,000(指名料込み) — for girls with under two months at the shop, first time with that girl only, regular pricing from the second visit on.
Its comparison rows read ¥19,500 → ¥16,000 and ¥17,500 → ¥14,000, and those look like they don't belong to any band until you remember the word 総額 — the all-in figure, nomination included. Then it reconciles exactly: ¥17,500 (12:00–17:00 60分) + ¥2,000 nomination = ¥19,500. ¥15,500 (dawn 60分) + ¥2,000 = ¥17,500. Both quotes are just base-plus-nomination at two different hours.
So rank the three ways to buy a nominated hour here:
- 新入生割引 — ¥16,000 all-in. Nomination included.
- ご新規様 coupon — ¥15,500, but you cannot nominate. Photo nomination pushes it to ¥17,500.
- Dawn walk-in — ¥15,500 + ¥2,000 = ¥17,500. Repeatable forever.
The 新入生割引 is the cheapest nominated sixty minutes in the building, at any hour, and it's the one presented as a novelty rather than a deal. It costs ¥1,500 less than showing up at 6 AM and paying the nomination fee, and it works at 11 PM.
The catch is real and it's the honest one: you're taking whoever is new. And "first time with that girl" means the price is a door that closes behind you — go back to her and you're on the standard grid like everyone else.
Bottom Line
A clean, unusually legible price grid attached to a very ordinary Kabukicho school-themed health shop. The concept is boilerplate. The pricing architecture is not, and it rewards reading:
- The clock costs a flat ¥3,000, so it punishes short courses (+43%) far harder than long ones (+19%).
- Dawn: buy the 30. Evening: buy the 60. The per-minute ranking genuinely inverts.
- Decide your duration before you go up. Extending costs ¥6,000 for the fifteen minutes that cost ¥4,000 on the way in.
- The new-customer coupon is the 6 AM tier. Use it on the 45分 (20.7% off), not on the 30分 the badge is quoting.
- Want a nominated hour cheap at any hour? The 新入生割引 at ¥16,000 総額 beats everything else on the board.
Legal, above-board, adults only. Verify current prices and hours with the shop — time-banded tables are exactly the kind that get revised without anyone announcing it.
