Sunday, 6:40 p.m., South Exit
Kinshicho on a Sunday evening runs at two speeds. Families drift out of the station mall with shopping bags, and on the south side, past the pachinko noise, the side streets around Kotobashi settle into their night job. Royal Ring is a delivery shop (deriheru), so there's no storefront to find. You pick a hotel, call 03-5625-4233, and she comes to you. The phones open at 9:00, the girls work 10:00 to 6:00 the next morning, and the shop lists no closing day.
I'd spent the train ride doing homework, because this shop doesn't have a price. It has a price system, with layers.
Layer one: the regular menu
The base sheet is straightforward. Hotel delivery or a meet-up costs the same:
| Course | Price |
|---|---|
| 70 min | ¥18,000 |
| 90 min | ¥22,000 |
| 100 min | ¥25,000 |
| 120 min | ¥29,000 |
| 150 min | ¥36,000 |
| 180 min | ¥43,000 |
| Extension, 30 min | ¥11,000 |
Then the add-ons: ¥2,000 membership on your first visit, ¥3,000 for a photo nomination and the same for a repeat nomination, and ¥5,000 for either a change or a cancellation. A first-timer who picks a girl off the site and books 90 minutes is looking at ¥27,000 before transport.
Transport is free only for hotels around Kinshicho Station. Nearby Sumida and Koto (Kameido, for example) adds ¥2,000. The rest of Koto plus Taito, Edogawa, Katsushika, Bunkyo, Chuo and Chiyoda costs ¥3,000. Arakawa, Adachi and Shinjuku are ¥4,000, and Nakano or the Chiba side (Funabashi, Urayasu) ¥5,000. You can also meet in front of two convenience stores in Kotobashi, a Ministop and a FamilyMart, for ¥1,000. Meet-ups near the station run only from 10:00 to 22:00.
Layer two: the new-customer net deal
This is the one I used. First-time customers who book through the online form get 65 minutes for ¥15,000 or 95 minutes for ¥22,000, with the nomination fee included. The coupon version waives the ¥2,000 membership too. Transport is still extra, and the fine print asks you to call and confirm an hour before.
Against the regular route, 95 minutes at ¥22,000 is a real discount. The nearest regular course is 90 minutes for ¥27,000 once you add the nomination and membership. You get five extra minutes for ¥5,000 less.
Discrepancy #1: the 95-minute coupon card has ¥20,000 in big type, but the text right under it says ¥22,000, and so does the event page. I went in assuming ¥22,000 and asked reception to say the number out loud before I hung up. Do the same. Don't show up waving the bigger font.
Two more catches. When the shop is busy, it says the 65-minute course may not reach far-off addresses. The coupon's "regular price" column also compares against a 60-minute course listed at ¥26,000, and the system page doesn't have a 60-minute course at all. Trust the arithmetic, not the percentage badge.
Layer three: the Autumn Fest, and the clock problem
The seasonal event knocks money off longer sessions, and the price depends on the time of day:
| Course | Daytime | Evening |
|---|---|---|
| 80 min | ¥19,000 | ¥22,000 |
| 100 min | ¥22,000 | ¥25,000 |
| 130 min | ¥29,000 | ¥32,000 |
Transport inside the ¥3,000 zone is free, but the nomination fee is extra. Mention "Heaven" when you call.
Discrepancy #2: the event page puts the switch at 18:00. The coupon page describes the same event and puts it at 20:00. I called at 6:40 p.m., inside the gap, so this was my actual question. Ask before you choose a girl. A ¥3,000 swing for the same 100 minutes is worth one sentence on the phone.
Here's the less obvious point. In the evening, 100 minutes at the Fest is ¥25,000, exactly the regular 100-minute price. After the switch, the only things the Fest gives you are free transport and the odd lengths (80 and 130 minutes). If you're in a Kinshicho hotel, where transport is free anyway, the evening Fest saves you nothing. Its 130 minutes for ¥32,000 is still good value, though: the regular route to the same time is 120 minutes plus an extension, ¥40,000.
Layer four: Mondays and newcomers
- Monday coupon: ¥2,000 off the Fest, so 80 minutes is ¥17,000 in the daytime and ¥20,000 in the evening. Nomination and transport are extra, and repeat nominations pay the normal Fest price.
- Newcomer rate: 60 minutes for ¥16,000 with the nomination and membership included, for recently joined girls and nearby hotels only. You can't combine it with other deals, and repeat nominations are excluded.
For a first visit, the newcomer rate and the 65-minute net deal are close. The net deal gives you five more minutes for ¥1,000 less, but it's tied to your first booking. The newcomer rate isn't.
The board and the visit
The schedule page covers a week ahead. Sunday's showed roughly two dozen shifts, from late-morning starts to a few running past 3:00 a.m., and the new-arrivals strip had seven names who'd joined since late September. Listed ages run from the low twenties to the late twenties. The rest of the site follows the concept line, "healing, gentleness, calm, and a little shyness."
She arrived a few minutes after the confirmation call and was easy to talk to. The menu doesn't claim much past the basics, and the basic play list is printed in full. The shop also notes, correctly, that every girl sets her own limits, so check the profile page before assuming anything. Options run from ¥1,000 (stockings and the like) up to ¥5,000, and the same note applies.
House rules worth reading
The rules are standard but strict. No pushing for full intercourse (the shop is a registered delivery business, and that is illegal), no tattoos, no recording, no swapping contact details, and you shower first. Break one and she leaves without a refund. If your business hotel won't let her in, the whole course fee counts as a cancellation, so check the hotel's visitor policy before you book. The refused-guest list doesn't mention foreign customers, but a phone booking in Japanese will go more smoothly.
Verdict
Royal Ring is a mid-priced Kinshicho delivery shop whose regular menu looks expensive until you find the right discount. First visit: the 95-minute net deal, with the price confirmed out loud. After that: the daytime Fest, Mondays if you can. Evenings in a station hotel: skip the Fest and book the regular course, or go long at 130 minutes.
